Student’s Workshop on Adolescence awareness

A general discussion was conducted by Ms.Sarvagya Singh and Mr.Faisal Khan for girls and boys respectively.


Workshop on “POCSO ACT”

A general awareness about the POCSO Act or The Protection of Children from sexual offences Act was organized on 21st July 2018.This act was established to protect the children against offences like sexual abuse,sexual harassment and pornography. Motor Vehicle act,Juvenile act and a general group discussion was held with the students in the presence of Mr.Prafull Sonwani.


Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration

With Ganesh Chaturthi around the corner, everyone was gearing up for the festivities.GDGIS family prepared eco-friendly Ganesha’s during their art & craft classes, hence giving great message to save the environment


Hindi Diwas Celebration 2018

G.D.Goenka International School, Raipur celebrated Hindi Diwas on 14thSeptember 2018 with great enthusiasm. The students took part whole heartedly and highlighted the significance of the language in connecting the citizens of India, through their lectures and recitation.


Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

Gandhi Jayanti celebration was held on 01st October 2018.On this occasion GDGIS highlighted the values like truth and non-violence in the morning assembly. Pre Primary kids were introduced with the Charkha, or Spinning wheel, which was the physical embodiment and symbol of Gandhi’s constructive program.

Workshop on good touch and bad touch

GDGIS conducted a workshop for all students on the topic- good touch and bad touch, on 15th Sep 2018.

The students understood the concept of safe/unsafe touch and this was explained to them in a simplified manner. Mrs.Mrinalini Bhamra also demonstrated few examples of good touch and bad touch such as hugging, pushing, slapping, and patting on the shoulder for better clarity on the concept.


Bus Evacuation Drill 15th Oct 2018

GDGIS conducted a mock bus evacuation drill involving students, teachers, bus incharges along with their respective drivers to create awareness amongst the students.

Prior to the commencement of the exercise, the students and teachers were split into various teams including the transportation management to carry out the mock drill.

The evacuation operation began moments after the emergency alarm team alerted the students about the emergency. The students were immediately evacuated from their buses and were asked to gather at a distance of 100 feet (3 bus lengths) away from the bus.


Safety Week Celebration on 7th Dec

A mock fire and evacuation drill involving students, staff and fire fighters was conducted on 7th Dec 2018.Awareness was created among the students regarding firefighting techniques and ways to respond swiftly in times of such an emergency situation. Prior to the commencement of the exercise, the students and teachers were split into various teams including fire alarm,search and rescue, evacuation& site safety to carry out the mock drill.

The evacuation operation began moments after the fire alarm team alerted the students with a mock fire bell alarm. Students were asked to cover their heads with their bags in order to protect them from any injury during such incidences and were asked to gather at the play ground with their teachers.

MrSatish Kumar explained them how to use the fire extinguisher for fighting fire caused by different means.


Field trips

“Today’s students are visual learners and a field trip lets them touch, feel and listen to what they’re learning about,build on classroom instruction,gain a better understanding of topics and broaden the educational experience.
