Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
Welcome onboard. The ‘Goenkan Ethos’ of holistic education for your wards awaits you. We are committed to delivering a safe and enriching academic journey for your wards.
When your ward ‘touches down’, he shall land in the realm of the practical world as a true global citizen. The values to ‘THRIVE’ in life, instilled in him, shall provide a perennial glow to our society.
The Goenkan ‘THRIVE’ values represent a holistic framework at GD Goenka International School, Raipur, C.G., designed to foster empathetic, adaptable, and future-ready learners. It stands for:
T – Team-Centric
H – Harmonious
R – Resilient
I – Innovative
V – Versatile
E – Empathetic
We aim to empower students to succeed in a dynamic world by emphasizing collaboration, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and the ability to thrive rather than merely survive.
My Motto at GDGIS, Raipur, C.G.
A seamless integration and coordination across all departments and across all stages of education in the school.
1. I entered the portals of GDGIS Raipur, C.G. on 07/11/2025 and assumed the responsibility
of Principal at 11:50 a.m.
2. Education is fundamental to achieving full human potential, developing an equitable and
just society, and promoting national development.
3. Since then, it has been a pleasant experience to observe that the school is imparting
inclusive and equitable quality education and providing lifelong learning opportunities for
all.
4. My endeavour shall be to make GDGIS Raipur, C.G. a school where every student feels
welcomed and cared for; where a safe and stimulating learning environment exists; where a
wide range of learning experiences are offered; and where good physical infrastructure and
appropriate resources conducive to learning are available to all students.
The salient and solemn objectives of the school are as follows:
1. Recognizing, identifying, and fostering the unique capabilities of each student by
sensitizing teachers and promoting each student’s holistic development in both academic and
non-academic spheres.
2. The highest priority shall be given to achieving Foundational Literacy and Numeracy for
all students up to Grade III.
3. Flexibility, so that learners have the ability to choose their own paths in life
according to
their talents and interests.
4. Emphasis on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning or learning merely for
examinations.
5. Ethics and human and constitutional values such as empathy, respect for others,
cleanliness, courtesy, democratic spirit, spirit of service, respect for public property,
liberty,
responsibility, equality, and justice.
6. Promoting multilingualism and recognizing the power of language in teaching and
learning.
7. Development of life skills such as communication, cooperation, teamwork, and
resilience.
8. Focus on regular formative assessment for learning rather than purely summative
assessments that encourage today’s coaching culture.
9. Extensive and meaningful use of technology in education.
10. Always keeping in mind that education is a concurrent subject.
11. Ensuring equity and inclusion as the cornerstone of all educational decisions so that
every student can thrive within the school system.
12. Keeping teachers and faculty at the heart of the learning process by ensuring their
recruitment, continuous professional development, positive working environment, and
appropriate service conditions.
13. Establishing a light but tight regulatory framework to ensure integrity, transparency,
and
efficient use of resources within the school’s educational system, while encouraging
innovative and out-of-the-box ideas through autonomy, good governance, and the
empowerment of teaching and non-teaching staff.
With best wishes,
I remain,
Yours truly,
Ramesh Chandra Khankeriyal
